I was born in Miami, FL and my family moved to Rutherfordton, in Rutherford County, NC, in my preschool years. Growing up locally I attended K-12 and 1 year at ICC Community College in Rutherford Co., NC. I worked locally at Fairfield Mountains in Lake Lure, (currently Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure) from age 15-19 yrs old. In 1991, I moved to Tallahassee, FL to continue college. I graduated from Florida State University in 1994; with a BS Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Textiles. I started working in Retail Management right out of college, with Target Inc. in Jacksonville, FL. I then transferred with Target, to open a new store in Charlotte, NC in late 1996. A few years later I started a position as a Store Manager at Nautica Inc. This was a new store opening in the new Concord Mills Mall, in Concord, NC. I was the Store Manager at this location from
1999-2003.
I pursued my Real Estate License in 2004, and I first started my Real Estate Career in 2005 with ERA Knight Realty of Cornelius, NC. This office was ironically, the same office I purchased my Cornelius home through, in 1999 ! Over my first 10 years in Real Estate, we had a few company name changes, all ERA affiliated. During this time, I worked on the Cartus Relocation Team; working with Corporate Reio, Navy Federal and USAA clients in Lake Norman/ Cornelius, Mooresville, Denver, Concord, Charlotte, NC & surrounding. In 2014 my husband Kenny & I moved back to Rutherford Co. to Lake Lure, NC; as full-time residents. We also enjoy being part-time out of Lake Norman, in Cornelius, NC. In 2015, I transferred my primary office from Cornelius, NC to Wilkinson ERA Real Estate out of Hendersonville, NC. This allowed me to work from two of our many offices; between Hendersonville, NC to cover Rutherford Co. & surrounding Counties, as well as Cornelius, NC, on Lake Norman & surrounding Counties.
In August of 2022, my ERA Franchise became ERA Live Moore Company & my Hendersonville office merged with Carolina Mountain Sales, out of our Asheville, NC office. I am excited to continue my ERA affiliation & I am enjoying working with my combine Team, at Carolina Mountain Sales, an ERA Live Moore Company.
Outside of Real Estate I enjoy many favorite things! I love spending time with my family and friends. I love animals; especially my kitty cat "Tiki", who we rescued. I enjoy gardening, sightseeing, traveling the US & International, trips to FL, walking the beach, looking for shark teeth, boating on Lake Lure & Lake Norman, & watching wildlife; my birds, deer & bear. I look forward to showing you my hometown, in Rutherford Co. which is called "Small Town Friendly" by the locals. I am excited to share my knowledge & expertise about all of our cities, including Lake Lure, Rutherfordton, Forest City & the surrounding Buncombe, Henderson, Polk and McDowell Counties.
